Armed forces personnel from RAF Wittering paraded through Peterborough city centre today (Wednesday) to mark the 30th anniversary of the granting of the Freedom of the City to the base.
More than 50 proud service men and women marched into Cathedral Square, to the sound of the base band.
The mayor of Peter-borough Coun June Stokes carried out an inspection and the parade then continued through Bridge Street, to the applause of the large crowd which had gathered to watch the event.
Group Capt Damian Alexander, RAF Wittering station commander, said: “The 30th anniversary march is very important to us.
“It is pleasing to see so many people who have turned out to support them.”
