ARSONISTS set light to a derelict garage in Bourne.

Firefighters from Bourne, Market Deeping and Billingborough were called to the former Raymond Mays garage in Spalding Road at about 3.15pm on Friday.

The incident support crew from Grantham was also called.

Police are investigating the fire.

Sector Insp Gary Stewart said: “Arson will not be tolerated. We are appealing for witnesses.”

The garage, which has stood empty for about five years, is earmarked to become part of a housing estate. The land is owned by Anglia Regional Co-operative Society.
