A RUGBY club is looking for help to break a record for the world’s biggest scrum.
Members of Deepings Rugby Club will attempt to break the current Guinness world record of 191 people with its own members and people from the wider community.
Rugby player Gemma Waterfall said: “This is a great opportunity for people to get involved and be able to say they were part of a world record attempt. You don’t need to have any experience of playing rugby as it will all be controlled and done safely.”
The club has around 100 members who will join the attempt and is recruiting players from school teams. Anyone else who is interested in getting involved can contact Gemma on 07547 066248 or email@example.com
She is also keen to recruit new players for the club’s Devils ladies team.
The record attempt will take place at Deepings Rugby Club on Saturday June 18 with people meeting at 10.30am for an 11.30am start. A barbecue and games will follow.
