YOUNGSTERS were showing off their stick skills in a regional school hockey tournament.
More than 70 Year 5 and 6 pupils from schools across the area took part in the event at The Deepings School on Tuesday.
The event was organised by Year 10 sports pupils at the school in Park Road.
Players and coaches from Bourne Deeping Hockey Club were also at the event to watch the action and offer a helping hand.
A team from Bourne Westfield Primary were the eventual winners of the tournament but community sports coordinator Clare Ladley was impressed with the standard of hockey shown throughout.
She said: “It was a fantastic event and a lovely day. I was really impressed with the standard of hockey and the organisation of the event from my school pupils who did a fantastic job. I’m also very grateful to The Deepings Round Table for its help with funding a number of our competitions.”
