A PUB has celebrated its grand opening following a month of refurbishment.

The Wicked Witch in Bridge Street, Ryhall, held an invitation-only opening night on Wednesday.

The pub, formerly known as The Millstone, closed on New Year’s Eve for building work to be carried, which includes a new dining area, a revamp of the previous restaurant and a new function room.

The four owners, including Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson, attended the opening.

Manager Dom D’Angelo said: “The opening was superb and couldn’t have gone better.

“We’ve had so much support from locals and I’d like to thank all the suppliers, builders and businesses who have supported us.”

The Wicked Witch opened to the public yesterday evening.
