A SUBSTANTIAL reward is being offered for the safe return of a missing tabby cat.

Boris, a British short-haired silver tabby with amber eyes, went missing from his home in School Road, Barnack on Wednesday afternoon last week.

Owner Mollie Brown says she and her husband Ewan are desperate to find their much-loved eight-year-old pet.

“We miss him desperately and would go to the ends of the earth to get him back,” Mrs Brown said this week.

One of four cats owned by the Browns, Boris is a friendly, neutered tom who has been microchipped for easy identification.

“Our cats are house cats really but we let them out in the garden and keep an eye on them.

“We had friends round on Wednesday when Boris went missing. It was a nice warm afternoon and the cats were in and out,” she said. “It was between 5 and 6pm when we realised he was gone.”

The couple have made lots of enquiries around the village and have rung the police and local vets. A friend has also produced some missing pet flyers which they were putting up this week.

Anyone with any information should ring the Browns on 01780 740413.
