A ROTARY club has donated a box full of food supplies to a homeless charity.
The Rotary Club of Bourne presented Peterborough Street, formerly known as St Teresa’s in Peterborough, with supplies towards the end of last year.
Doug Stiles from the charity, which helps and supports the homeless, had mentioned to Rotary members that they were in need of support.
Club members collected non-perishable foods for the organisation, which has now moved to a new site at Bretton. After the collection the club presented the supplies to Ann Jones, of the charity.
Club president Jo Sunner said: “We were pleased to support this organisation which provides instant help to people who are homeless and in desperate need of help.
“They do their best to support those living on the streets. Peterborough Street not only feeds those who need a meal, but also helps get them off the streets as well as providing a friendly face.”
