A science fiction author will auction a signed copy of his latest book to raise money for a deaf charity.
Peter F Hamilton, who lives in Rutland, will release The Queen of Dreams in January next year.
But from Sunday fans will be able to bid for an exclusive signed copy.
Peter agreed to auction the book to raise funds for the National Deaf Children’s Society on behalf of Kate Cadman, from Barnack. Kate’s daughter is deaf and Kate will run the London Marathon next year to support the charity herself.
She said: “It is so exciting to have such a prominent author as Peter to offer to auction a proof copy of his first children’s novel to boost my fundraising.”
