Rutland groups are missing out on thousands of pounds in funding according to one organisation.

The grant manager for the Rutland branch of the national funding body, Wren, Emma Brooks, says application levels are low in the county and that some of the groups that do apply do not fill in the forms correctly.

In the past year Wren, has given £50,000 to improve access at Rutland Water, £34,000 to Lyddington Park Project and £2,551 to improve a nature area and footpath at Whissendine.

Emma is urging anyone interested in applying for Wren grants to get in touch by calling 01234 772370, 07854 920118 or e-mailing emma.brooks@wren.org.uk.
