CROWDS of people turned out for the Rutland Horticultural Society’s spring market at the weekend.
More than 200 visitors attended the event which was held at the Congregational Church in Oakham on Saturday.
A range of vegetables, plants and perennials were sold at the market, raising more than £400 for the society.
The money will be put towards paying for future events such as the summer show in July.
Vice-chairman of the society Derek Bilby said: “The weather was fantastic and there was a great turnout. We had visitors from Oakham and tourists from far and wide as well.
“We didn’t have many plants left at the end.”
