A FUN day at a school for children with learning difficulties and disabilities brought families in similar situations together.
The Parks School in Oakham was filled with the sounds of families from all over the county enjoying a range of fun and challenging activities on Sunday.
The day was organised by the Rutland Parents and Carers Forum and was paid for through a grant from Rutland County Council.
Wendy Johnson from Stoney Stanton near Leicester has co-ordinated the group, and used her experience as a trustee of the Parent and Carer Council to organise the fun day.
She said: “We were expecting 22 families and had 28 in the end so more than 100 people attended.
“I’d like to say thank you all the parents that have supported me while organising this, and to the staff at Rutland County Council who have been enthusiastic throughout.”
