A SPRING show in a village raised more than £350 through art, craft, food and floral displays.
The Ryhall Gardeners’ Club was described as a happy and successful day by secretary Sue Conlon.
Artwork, woodcarving and quilting demonstrations were given and displays of antique farming equipment, a copy of the Stamford tapestry and a pictorial history of the Eleanor Cross all made eye-catching displays.
The garden stall with a wide variety of plants, the home baking stall, a raffle and refreshments raised more than £350 which will help fund Ryhall Gardeners’ future events including the Summer Show where the growers will show off their home grown produce and flower displays and “An evening with Nick Hamilton” later in the year.
Sue said: “Ryhall Gardeners would like to thank all visitors and members who made Saturday’s spring show such a happy and successful day.”
