A group of women from the class of 1975 at a school in Oakham reunited to reminicse on the good old days.
The reunion for the 1975 class of Rutland High School for Girls took place on October 11 at Oakham Cricket Club.
Former student Janet Foster led the reunion with a committee of six other women, who helped to find their original class mates.
The committee included: Gill Belshaw, Diane Thomas, Viv Halksworth, Janie Ross, Biddy Regis and Sue Keegan.
They managed to trace everyone from the original registers of form 3A in 1971, provided by former RE teacher Sylvia Leach.
About 40 people attended the reunion, with most of the women now having seen each other for the past 40 years.
Of the 40 attendees, eight of the original teachers came along to the event featuring 1970’s themed food and music.
Lots of memorabilia was also brought along, including school old uniform, photos, school reports and books.
Organiser Janet, said: “It was fantastic to see everybody after so many years.
“The volume of voices and laughter was high as we all reverted to being teenagers again - there was lots of news to catch up on and reminiscing to do!”
