A WOMAN who was becoming more and more isolated by her immobility has been given an early Christmas present.
Marigold Ball from Oakham was presented with a mobility scooter by the Lions Club of Rutland at Voluntary Action Rutland in Lands’ End Way last week.
The organisations were informed of Ms Ball’s immobility by her carer from HomeCare Rutland who was growing concerned for Ms Ball’s welfare due to her inability to get out and about.
HomeCare Rutland founder Gillie Loft said: “By providing the same carers day in day out to our clients we are able to build a relationship and were able to identify that Ms Ball was suffering from not getting out of the house on her own and becoming increasingly isolated.
“This donation of a mobility scooter will make such a difference.”
