CHARITY shop clothes were transformed into fashionable outfits at a catwalk show.

Garments from the Red Cross shop in Church Street, Market Deeping, were worn by models at the show at the Towngate Inn on Tuesday.

Ten of the models are volunteers at the shop, and eight came from The Deepings School’s after-school club.

Youth worker Paul Hanson, who helped organise the event, said: “It went really well and we raised just under £500 for the Red Cross shop.

“All the girls were given catwalk training and they did fantastically well.”

A range of styles were on display and the 60-plus attendees were able to buy the clothes after the show. A raffle was also held.

This is the first time the shop has held a fashion show, but another one is already being planned.
