CROWDS of people were at the Wellhead Park last night (Friday) for the start of the 10th annual Bourne Festival.
The event runs until Monday and a host of daytime and evening entertainment is set to wow thousands of festival goers.
Local sports clubs and groups will be hosting activities for people to join in with in the daytime, including Tai Chi demonstrations, Zumba sessions, a hockey competition and a tug of war contest. Gates open at midday.
Headline acts are set to take centre stage with live performances in the evenings, with a battle of the bands contest also set to take place.
More than 100 real ales and draught ciders will be featuring in the beer festival, and crafts stalls and food stalls will also be held at the festival.
The festival has been organised by the Bourne Round Table and group member Richard Ludlow is thoroughly looking forward to the celebrations.
Tickets for the event are £2 per day or £5 for the weekend, with under 16s paying £1 per day or £2.50 for the weekend and under 11s going free.
