There were more than 300 entries from 47 exhibitors at the event, which featured displays of vegetables, flowers, cakes, crafts and photography.

Children also entered into a range of fun categories including Lego building, poem writing and miniature gardening.

The exhibits were judged by the Leicestershire Guild Horticultural judges.

Show secretary Jeff Dale said: “It was a very good show.

“We slightly down on numbers from last year but the judges said the quality was excellent.

“It was great to see so many children enter. They are the future of our shows.”
