Two charities benefited from people’s generosity at a tabletop sale.
Labrador Lifeline Trust hosted the event at Stamford Arts Centre on Sunday.
The charity set up its own stalls but also invited Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice to take part in the sale.
Through a combination of sales and donations on the door a total of £1,150 was raised on the day - £420 of which was donated to Thorpe Hall’s new hospice appeal.
Lisa Canham, from Labrador Lifeline Trust, said: “It was absolutely superb - we had a steady stream of people right up until we closed the doors.
“We had volunteers in the High Street and on The Meadows shepherding people along and we had 286 visitors in total.”
Assistant manager at Thorpe Hall’s retail shop Angela Reeves said: “The money will go straight to our new hospice appeal, which is coming along very well.”
A total of £6m is needed to build the new Thorpe Hall hospice building.
