Crowds lined the streets of Stamford, Oakham and Bourne for the annual Good Friday walks of witness.
The processions, which mark the day of Jesus’ crucifixion, bring churches of all denominations together.
Secretary of Bourne Salvation Army Charles Green took part in the Bourne parade. He said: “Many people stopped and asked questions along the route, which is what the walk was all about - letting the general public know that good Friday stands for Jesus being crucified on the cross.
“Easter is the most important festival in the Christian calendar, so it is vital that we keep this tradition going so people can fully understand the significance of Good Friday and Easter.”
