Updated 11.30am: One lane closed is closed on the A1 southbound near Stamford and Wothorpe because of a broken down crane.

There is queueing traffic and long delays of about an hour with congestion to the Colsterworth services junction.

Roads in Langtoft and Corby Glen are also partially blocked as bad weather continues to cause issues for drivers.

Police are at the scene of an accident in Stowe Road, Langtoft, where two cars crashed at about 10.30am. The road is partially blocked but no-one was injured.

An accident involving a car and a lorry has also blocked the A151 Tanner’s Lane at Corby Glen between the High Street junction and Station Road.

A jack-knifed lorry on the A1 near Honey Pot Lane, North Witham has closed the road southbound. The accident happened at about 7am but there is still congestion back to the Little Ponton turning.

There is also queuing on the A1 northbound between Stamford and Great Casterton.

And the A1175 Uffington Road is also partially blocked.

Police have warned drivers to take care after a spate of accidents since snow started to fall yesterday (Sunday).

The A1 northbound was closed for about three hours yesterday after a two-car collision between the B1081 and A43 junctions.

The crash happened at about 8.30pm and the road remained closed until 11.15pm. Police said the crash had resulted in serious injuries but were unable to give any more information.

Two accidents also took place one after the other on the A43 at Collyweston. Two cars crashed at about 8pm and that was followed by a three-car collision in the same place shortly afterwards. No-one was seriously injured but the road was closed from the junction with the A1 until about 10.30pm.

At about 8am today (Monday) one blue car came off the road and went into a fence near the playing field on A16 Uffington Road just outside of Stamford.

At about 7am a vehicle went into a dyke on the A15 at Kates Bridge near Thurlby, Bourne.

Police, fire and ambulance services attended the scene.

The road was closed for about two hours but has now reopened.

An accident near the Windmill Farm Caravan Park on Counter Drain Drove at Tongue End between Spalding and Bourne was also reported at about 8.30am.

The condition of the drivers involved is currently unknown.
