THE broken clock on Bourne Town Hall has been fixed after being out of action for four months.

Contractors Smiths of Derby completed work, costing £2,293, earlier this month, fixing the hands which had become stuck having been struck by an object.

South Kesteven District Council leader Linda Neal (Con) said: “The clock dates back to 1821 is part of the history and fabric of Bourne and I am thrilled that we have been able to repair it to ensure that it continues to run for generations to come.”
