TANKS of garra rufa fish worked overtime as part of a charity fundraising night.

The founders of Charity 24 hosted a pamper evening at the Fit Feet Fish Spa in St Mary’s Street, Stamford, on Tuesday night to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Treatments on offer included garra rufa pedicures, where the fish suck away hard skin from people’s feet, hands and elbows, and reflexology.

Around 30 people supported the event which raised £115.

Organiser Chris Grant, who set up Charity 24 with his friends Mimi Bunn, Mamun Ali and Ben Westerman, was pleased with the result.

He said: “We had a really good mix of people come along on the night and everyone had a really good time.”

The friends set up the Charity 24 to raise money for charities close to their hearts.
