Freemasons from the Deepings have donated £1,000 to two groups in the area.

St Pega Lodge in Deeping St James has donated £500 to the 1st Deeping St James Scout group and £500 to the Deepings Men’s Group.

The scout group has two beavers colonies, two cub packs and two scout troops.

Charities steward for Pega Lodge Graham Cox said: “The Province of Lincolnshire, which the lodge is in, gives donations to worthwhile causes and charities in the community each year.

“Both these groups are important to the local community and do a lot of good work in the area.”

The donated money was raised through various forms of fund raising.
