Generous donations at two cake stalls raised much-needed funds to help fight famine and the spread of disease overseas.
Stalls were held at the Buttercross in Oakham last month in aid of Medicins Sans Frontieres. The charity is trying to help starving children of South Sudan and Syria, while also fighting the spread of the Ebola virus.
Stall organiser Yvette Nicolle-Anderiesz is a long-time supporter of the charity and has held stalls for many years in Oakham.
She thanked those who helped raise hundreds for the charity at the two sales by buying and donating cakes, adding: “Medicins Sans Frontieres is very grateful for all the help received.”
