Stamford Foodbank has extended the closing date for applications for the post of senior team leader.

The foodbank which provides emergency food supplies to individuals and families referred to it by agencies such as social services, schools and churches, wants the new person to help take it to the next phase of its development. Applicants now have until November 5 to submit their applications.

The senior team leader would oversee the foodbank’s day-to-day operations and head a dedicated group of volunteers. The position would require 15 to 20 hours a month. It does not carry a salary but out-of-pocket expenses will be paid.

The ideal candidate will share the foodbank’s Christian values and will be subject to CRB or equivalent safeguarding checks.

This is an an excellent opportunity to serve the local community, develop managerial skills and take the foodbank forward 
over the next couple of
