A PIANIST from Stamford is set to walk 26 miles from Winchester Cathedral to Salisbury Cathedral to raise funds for a good cause.

Kate Moore, of Ryhall Road, and her partner Adrian Bidwell, will take on the challenge on Saturday next week in aid of the Classic FM Foundation.

This year the foundation, which funds music education and therapy projects working with disadvantaged children and adults across the UK, will be working with Nordoff Robbins to provide more than 4,000 music therapy sessions for children living with illness, disability, trauma or isolation.

The couple have set themselves a target of £560 for the cause.

Kate said: “Music therapy has the power to transform peoples lives in amazing ways and is a lifeline that can make an indescribable difference to a child and their family.”
