VISITORS, residents and staff were able to tuck into tasty cakes at a strawberry tea.

The Cedars Private Nursing and Residential Home in Church Walk, Bourne, welcomed more than 50 people to its fundraising strawberry tea.

Visitors enjoyed tucking into a host of cup cakes, sponges and scones during the event on Tuesday.

A quiz, with a first prize of a basket of fruit, was also held during the event.

This was won by Joy Peers.

The event was organised by activities co-ordinator Jean Kowalczyk and nurse Lizzie Neville.

The strawberry tea raised £150 for Breast Cancer UK.

Matron Helen Brewster said: “It was fantastic day with a good atmosphere.

“Everyone joined in and enjoyed themselves.”
