Students have realised their dreams by appearing on stage in the West End.

The young people from New College Stamford and Wildcats Academy were invited to perform songs and scenes from the hit musical Ghost at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London as part of their two-year musical theatre course.

The college introduced the course, which is taught at the Wildcats Academy, earlier this year.

Director of learning at the college Robin Webber-Jones said: “We believe it is really important for our students to get access to as many real life experiences as possible, so giving them the chance to perform in the West End is a great way for our students to learn what life on the stage is really like.”

The students, who come from Stamford, Bourne, Oakham and Uppingham, are now busy rehearsing songs from a number of musicals for a performance at The O2 arena in February.
