A BALL was held to raise money towards an outdoor classroom for Uffington Primary School.

The school’s parents and friends association hosted the event at the Masonic Centre in Stamford.

The event raised £2,200, helped by the band D’lllyria and DJ Mike Dunk waiving their normal fees.

The organisers thanked parents, friends and family, as well as all the sponsors, for their support.

Headteacher Helen Simms said: “We are so fortunate to have an enthusiastic group of parents who work really hard to raise funds for the school. There is no doubt that the funds raised by the PFA make all the difference in providing the extras which we would not otherwise be able to afford.

“The summer ball was a huge success and greatly enjoyed by all who attended.”
