A SPECIAL red, white and blue themed summer fair went ahead at Dyke village hall on Saturday despite poor weather forcing the event inside.
It was attended by more than 150 people and raised more than £600 for the village hall fund for the facility’s upkeep.
The fair was opened by Lincolnshire County Councillor Sue Woolley (Con) who was also there to celebrate the opening of the new upgraded cooking facilities in the hall.
Coun Woolley said: “I was delighted to be asked to open the fair, it was a nice group of people and a good selection of stalls.”
A range of games including a treasure hunt, panning for gold and a tombola were on offer for those who braved the rain.
The Dyke WI were manning the refreshments stall and there was a range of bric-a-brac on offer.
