It’s two months until Christmas and the Cards for Good Causes shop has once again opened in St John’s Church, Stamford.

The shop, which is now in its 13th year, supports 24 member charities along with a range of guest causes.

Manager Beryl Kirtland is already delighted with the response from Stamford people. She said: “Over the years it has become a really good community event for Stamford.

“Not only do we do the shop, we also have charity stalls, musical performances, school choirs and the Christmas tree festival. Last year we had more than 16,000 people through the door.”

The shop is open 9.30am until 4.30pm Monday to Saturday until December 17.
