A survey has found a service coordinated by Lincolnshire County Council to support over 60s is a success with customers.
First Contact asks people in Lincolnshire to fill in a checklist to identify issues they may need help or advice on. A team then refers the checklist to the relevant organisation, who will contact the customer to help.
Since the service was set up in 2009, it has helped more than 7,000 people and made more than 20,500 referrals.
A survey was conducted with 176 customers and 88 per cent said the services they had received had been very helpful or helpful in making them feel safer and more independent.
First Contact central coordinator Alison Whiting said: “It’s great to know that almost all our customers have been pleased with our service, and found it easy to use.”
