Young golfers in Rutland are being urged to sign up for a charity golf tournament.

The British Heart Foundation’s Junior Golf Championship returns to the region with a qualifying round taking place at Cosby Golf Club in Leicester, on April 17.

The winners and top fundraising teams will go on to compete in a regional final at Oulton Hall in Leeds this summer.

Those who raise the most money will be in with a chance of meeting professional golfer and Ryder Cup hero Lee Westwood.

Teams are open to all junior golfers who hold a handicap and are aged between 11 and 18.

To enter, call Martyn Gibson on 01455 282078 or e-mail masgibson@hotmail.co.uk Visit bhf.org.uk/juniorgolf for more information.
