HIGH tea was served at a charity shop in Bourne to raise money and awareness for a charity.
The event on Thursday last week at the St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice shop in North Street raised more than £80 for the charity but more importantly helped raise awareness of its work in the community.
Manager Christine Beardwood said: “We are a Lincolnshire charity who help Lincolnshire people, a lot of people don’t realise that so it is about getting the word out.”
About 50 people came in to taste the delicious food on offer, including a range of sandwiches. The store is marking its one year anniversary on September 27 with a designer fashion night.
