MORE than £200 was raised for charity at an afternoon tea party.

The event was organised by the Inner Wheel Club of Bourne and held at its president Diane Ross’s home in Stainfield Road, Kirkby Underwood, on Thursday last week.

More than 40 people attended, helping to raise a total of £260 which will be donated to the Lincolnshire Autistic Society - the club’s chosen charity for the year. Refreshments were served and a raffle was also held.

Club correspondent Liz Brown, of South Road, Bourne, thanked everyone who supported the event and said: “It went well.”

The charity aims to raise awareness of autism, provide information and training and encourage and promote the development of resources for people with autism and their carers.
