MEMBERS of a women’s fundraising group held a tea party to raise money for charity.

The Inner Wheel Club of Bourne raised about £200 for Dementia Care South Lincolnshire at its garden tea party in Kirkby Underwood on Friday.

About 30 women from the club along with family and friends enjoyed cream teas and cakes as well as playing a selection of games, finding bargains at a book and handmade card stall and taking part in a raffle.

Host and Inner Wheel Club of Bourne member Diane Ross said: “It went exceptionally well because of the nice weather.

“It was lovely to see so many people get together and enjoy a cup of tea in the sunshine.

Diane said: “We are absolutely delighted with the money raised.”

The Inner Wheel Club of Bourne has selected Dementia Care South Lincolnshire as its charity of year because member’s families had been affected and it felt there is a lack of dementia awareness.
