The Rotary Club of Rutland has chosen its charity for the year.
The group is delighted to be supporting the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance for a second year.
A cheque for £1,000 has been donated to the emergency response charity.
President of the club, Malcolm Mann, said: “We chose the air ambulance as our main beneficiary this year for the proceeds of our annual walk around the Exton Estate in May and also from our street collections.
“We thank the people of Rutland for contributing to this very worthwhile cause.”
On behalf of the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance, volunteer Mark Powell was delighted to accept the cheque.
He said: “These are difficult times for most charities but we are pleased that the air ambulance is seen as an essential and highly valued service.”
