Members of Bourne Corps of The Salvation Army held a sponsored walk on Saturday through the Bourne Wood to support a much longer national pilgrimage.
The walk was to support Andy Peddle’s national walkathon to raise awareness and funds to help homeless young and vulnerable people and prevent human trafficking.
Andy called in at Bourne in February during his 7,800 mile walk around the UK to raise funds for the homeless and the young and vulnerable.
The Bourne crops hope to have raised about £200 from their efforts on Saturday to supplement Andy’s appeal.
Andy, who visited Sally Anne’s in West Street and the Salvation Army Hall in Manning Road, when he visited the town, will finish his walk concludes on 15 November with a celebration in London.
