A NEW cafe will open in Oakham one morning a week to give young people and adults with learning difficulties work experience and life skills.

The Shed Cafe will be open at The Shed Youth Club in Melton Road on Wednesdays.

The grand opening event will be held at the cafe on July 25 from 10am to 1pm when home-made drinks and snacks will be sold.

The initiative is being run by Inclusion Team 11 at Rutland County Council and a team of volunteers.

It is being supported by Oakham Baptist Church, the Croft Bakery and Lands’ End.
