HOMES and businesses in North Luffenham and Edith Weston have been left without telephones and the internet after thieves severed underground cabling.
The copper cabling in Ketton Road, North Luffenham, was cut through on Sunday night in two places and police were informed immediately.
Engineers from BT Openreach have been working 24 hours a day to try and repair the fault and it is hoped people will be back online by Thursday.
Cabling was also cut in the same spot about a month ago leaving resident without phone lines for three days.
