RESCUE animals are the stars of a new charity calendar which has gone on sale to pay for their care.

Three Counties Dog Rescue has launched its 2012 calendar with the support of Burghley Veterinary Centre and one of its clients, Holby City star Amanda Mealing.

Staff at the centre first created a calendar five years ago and have raised around £400 each year from its sales.

The charity’s founder Gyll Mauchline said: “At the moment we’re inundated with animals so we hope to sell as many calendars as possible to pay for their care.

“The calendar is a fantastic bargain and every penny the centre receives will be spent on looking after the animals.”

The calendars cost £2 each or you can buy a calendar and a Three Counties car sticker together for £3.

They are on sale at Burghley Veterinary Centre in Stamford and Market Deeping and Dawsmere Kennels, Petorama and Rollaway in Bourne.
