Firefighters had to cut the roof off a Range Rover to release a casualty following a three vehicle crash on the A1 last night (Monday).
The Range Rover was embedded into the wall surrounding Burghely Park after it collided with two HGV lorries at about 5pm near Wittering.
Traffic on the A1 southbound was backed up for miles as the traffic went down to one lane before being closed entirely for about an hour from 6.15pm.
Police, fire and ambulance attended.
Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to release the casualty, who was taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
