Time running out to vote for Lincolnshire children’s book award

Have your say

TODAY is the final day for young book lovers to vote for their favourite books in the 10th Lincolnshire Young People’s Book Award.

Voting closes on Friday in the 10th Lincolnshire Young People’s Book Award.

Children and young people across the county have been voting for months, with the initial long-list now whittled down to just five titles in each of the two categories.

Executive member for children’s services Coun Patricia Bradwell said: “Anyone aged between nine and 14 years of age can vote, as long as they either live or go to school in Lincolnshire, or use the county’s library services. You can vote online, at your local library or through your school.

“The awards are not only a great way of encouraging young people to take pleasure in reading, but also help develop their skills in debating and appreciating stories.”
