YOUNG readers were treated to a special storytime as Tom the Tale Teller visited Rutland County Museum.
Tom the Tale Teller, aka Tom Phillips, from Hinckley, Leicestershire, read a range of books to more than 20 children at the museum on Friday as part of Rutland County Council’s Story Lab summer scheme. The scheme is being run to encourage children to read books featuring stories from around the world, who must complete six books to complete the challenge and get a medal.
Tom was on hand to read his own stories, traditional classics and funny tales.
Children’s librarian Diane Wright said: “Tom went down a storm with the children. It was such a good session.”
