A CARE home manager has won a national award for her hard work.

Jacqui Jones, 51, from Thackers Way, Market Deeping, won deafblind charity Sense’s Exceptional Contribution award at a ceremony in London on Tuesday.

Jacqui is a residential house manager and currently spends most of her time at a home in London.

She won the award for her commitment to managing a number of residential homes for deafblind people across the country.

Jacqui said: “I’m delighted to have won this award, it means a lot.

I feel very honoured to be able to work with the deafblind residents and the staff in Sense residential homes.”

The awards were presented by TV personality Arlene Phillips.
