HUNDREDS of glass bottles which were spilled by a lorry have been cleared from the town bridge in Stamford.

Police were called to the bridge, near Pizza Express and between High Street St Martin’s and the junction with Wharf Road, at about 7.45am.

A handle broke on a skip hire lorry, which was carrying the glass bottles.
