A MAN was airlifted to hospital following a three-vehicle collision in Wothorpe.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 1pm on Wednesday to find a car upside down in Kettering Road, near the junction with the slip road from the A1 southbound carriageway.
The driver, a man in his mid-40s, was taken to University Hospital Coventry by the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance. He was in a critical condition with serious injuries on Wednesday. Police were unable to give an update on his condition yesterday.
The other drivers involved suffered minor injuries. The road was closed for almost five hours.
