A ROAD has reopened following a crash this morning (Wednesday).

Tinwell Road in Stamford reopened at about 11am after the two vehicles involved, a Volvo skip wagon from St Ives and a Daf lorry from Milton Keynes, were recovered.

There was also a diesel spillage which has been cleared.

Tinwell Road is closed between the A1 and the junction with Roman Bank and is not expected to reopen until lunchtime.

The man driving the Volvo was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with minor injuries. The lorry driver was not hurt in the crash, which happened at 6.25am.
