11am: The man who died in a serious collision between a car and lorry on the A47 in Uppingham was Stephen Moore, 50, from Corby.
The collision happened near to the roundabout at the junction of the A6003 at about midday on Tuesday.
Mr Moore, who was the driver of the blue Mini Cooper, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the lorry was not injured.
The road was closed for about nine hours while police carried out investigations.
They are now appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward with information.
Det Con Seamus Burns said: “The Mini was travelling towards Leicester and the truck in the opposite direction towards Peterborough.
“We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle beforehand to get in touch.”
