Video: Car goes up in flames after crash with bus in Easton-on-the-Hill

A car was destroyed by fire after being hit by a bus.

The silver Ford Ka and a bus run by Mark Bland Travel collided at the junction of the A43 and Porters Road in Easton-on-the-Hill just after 8.30am this morning (Wednesday).

The car caught fire after the crash and was completely burned out.

The driver of the car, a young woman from the village, was reportedly shaken but otherwise unhurt.

The bus was carrying about a dozen New College Stamford students, none of whom were injured. The driver was taken to hospital but was not seriously injured.

Fire, police and ambulance attended the scene and the A43 was closed until about 9.30am while the flames were put out.
